On November 22, 1963, Brookline-born President John F. Kennedy was shot and killed in Dallas, Texas at 12:30 p.m. central time. Here’s the front page of The Boston Globe – “New England’s Family Newspaper’’ – the day after the assassination.

“A sniper’s bullet brought death to President John Fitzgerald Kennedy at 2 p.m. Friday, changing with immeasurable impact the history of a shocked, disbelieving world,’’ wrote Robert Healy. Articles also cover Oswald’s arrest, LBJ’s swearing in, and Jackie Kennedy’s anguish.
