Commute vs. the Cold: Floods and Ice Back Up I-93
The weekend got off to a slow, icy start Saturday morning when a water main break on Interstate 93 delayed and detoured traffic for well over an hour.

The break happened near the Boston Street overpass near South Bay, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation said on Twitter. The resulting floods iced up the surface of the highway near exit 15, and MassDOT said southbound traffic was detoured off the interstate at exit 18.
By 8:30, however, work crews had halted the flooding, and the highway was reopened to traffic.
