Multiple Mass. Schools Receive Near-Simultaneous Bomb Threats

At least five high schools across Massachusetts — including two in Boston — received bomb threats Wednesday afternoon. Amherst Regional High School, Natick High School, Boston College High School, Boston English High School, and Worcester North High School all responded to separate threats.

Boston College High School received a bomb threat at 12:08 p.m., according to Jennifer Tegan, the school’s director of marketing and communication. Students remained in classes as police conducted a search. The school was then given the all clear message at around 1 p.m.

Amherst’s threat came in at 12:20 p.m., according to a letter that administrators sent to students’ parents. Students were evacuated and classes were dismissed for the day.

Students were allowed to return to the other three schools after first responders searched each facility.
