Authorities Seize Over 2,000 Pounds of Pot in Sleepy Randolph Neighborhood
Three men are under arrest after authorities said they found more than a ton—a ton!—of marijuana during a raid in a quiet Randolph neighborhood Friday.
Michael Gordon, 45, and Andrean Jaggon, 37, both of Randolph, and Dagoberto Olea, 43, of Mendocino County, California were charged with conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute 1,000 kilograms or more of marijuana.
Gordon also faces two additional counts of structuring fraudulent transactions.
Prosecutors said Olea started mailing large amounts of marijuana from California to Jaggon and Gordon’s Garden Street home in July of 2011. Gordon then allegedly distributed those drugs in the Boston area with Jaggon’s help.
A statement from the U.S. Department of Justice estimates that the operation produced millions of dollars in profit.
Gordon and Olea face a mandatory minimum sentence of at least 10 years in prison.
“My youngest daughter played with their daughter,’’ neighbor Gary McLaughlin told WCVB. “You never know who’s in your neighborhood.’’
