Mike Barnicle Blames Coakley’s Loss on Tom Menino’s Death
Former Boston Globe columnist (it’s complicated) Mike Barnicle decided to wade into the Massachusetts governor’s race on Wednesday morning. Now a babbler on MSNBC’s gabfest “Morning Joe,’’ Barnicle declared that Martha Coakley could have won the election if it wasn’t for Tom Menino dying.
Seriously, he said that:

This was Barnicle trying to be nice. He called Coakley “a really nice person’’ and said Menino’s death “disrupted the campaign.’’ If it weren’t for that, “she may have pulled it out.’’
