Howie Carr Hospitalized After Car Crash
Boston Herald columnist and talk show host Howie Carr was hospitalized after a car crash Wednesday, according to a statement released by his broadcaster Entercom Boston.
The statement did not divulge any specifics about the nature of the collision, Carr’s injuries or when he may return on-air.
“The Republican surge that swept across America was something Howie predicted and so urgently wanted to share with each of you on the air throughout the week,’’ a statement from Entercom Boston Vice President Phil Zachary read. “However, as a precaution, Howie will remain off the air and under observation to ensure a full recovery with no complications.’’
Carr was also hospitalized in 2009 after his car crashed into a Wellesley telephone pole after veering into on-coming traffic.
Police told Boston.com at the time that neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor.
