Watch the Boston Globe Printing Press Work in This iPhone 6 Video

We wanted to test out the new iPhone 6’s vaunted slow-motion video recording feature, which allows users to capture video at speeds up to 240 frames per second (for reference, regular movies are shot between 24-30 frames per second). By increasing the number of frames so dramatically, the video would appear incredibly slow when played at normal speed.

Was the video control as good as advertised? To find out, we snuck a new iPhone into the press room to record The Boston Globe’s three-story printing presses humming and churning out sections for the next day’s paper. Does the nifty slow-mo feature warrant the price tag of the new phone? That’s up to you. But it made for some interesting video.
