Marijuana Lollipop Leaves One Conn. Student Hospitalized

A 16-year-old Connecticut high school student was hospitalized overnight after her classmate allegedly gave her a lollipop laced with marijuana on Monday.

According to NECN, an unidentified Enfield High School student allegedly told police that she distributed the adulterated candies in school — though she denied giving one to the girl who was hospitalized.

Enfield Police Chief Carl Sferrazza told the Journal Inquirer that the student got the lollipops in the mail from California. She will be charged as juvenile and referred to a juvenile court.
