Suspects Arrested in Connection With Cambridge Armed Robbery
Two men have been arrested in relation to the armed robbery of a Harvard University employee this August, according to The Cambridge Police Department.
Radeat Abate, 21, of Boston, and homeless 22-year-old Daishaun Lawrence were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly robbing the victim as they walked with him on Church Street near Harvard Square around 2:48 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19.
NECN reports that the victim told police that he had just met the two men playing pool at Tasty Burger. When he left the restaurant, the victim said the two men followed him. When one of the men suddenly threw him against a wall, the other male allegedly held a gun to the victim’s head and removed his wallet and other personal belongings, including his cellphone and eyeglasses.
Abate was arraigned and is being held on $10,000 bail. Lawrence awaits arraignment.
