Armed Men Posed as FBI Agents in Waltham Attack
Two armed men pretending to be FBI agents broke in and assaulted a Waltham man in his Bedford Street apartment on Saturday night, according to multiple reports.
According to CBS Boston, the victim was 49-year-old David Hay, who opened the door because the attackers claimed to have a search warrant.
After opening the door, Hay ended up immediately on the floor, he told WBZ-TV.
The Boston Globe reported the two attackers were wearing masks when they entered the home and pistol-whipped Hay.
Hay told WBZ-TV that at one point he was able to pull one of the attacker’s masks down to see his face.
According to The Globe:
“After they hit the victim several times in the head and demanded money, the victim told the assailants he had called 911. The assailants fled the apartment without taking anything from the home.’’
Waltham police are still searching for the assailants.
