3-Alarm Fire in Abandoned Hyde Park Building

Boston Fire Department

Firefighters tackled a three-alarm blaze in Hyde Park. The fire, off of River Street, is in an abandoned factory building. Firefighters closed parts of Truman Parkway to access the site, which proved to be difficult throughout the night.

Even after the main fire was put out, firefighters spent hours at the location, rotating personnel in anout of the site as they searched for hot spots and other potential problem areas.

Four firefighters needed treatment for heat exhaustion, according to the department.
