Marathon Bombing Survivor and Fiance Welcome Baby Girl
Jeff Bauman, 28, who lost both of his legs in the Boston Marathon bombing, announced the birth of his daughter, Nora Gail Bauman, with his fiance, Erin Hurley. He was standing at the finish line waiting for Hurley to finish running the Boston Marathon, when the bombs went off.

According to WCVB, “the family is happy and healthy.’’
Bauman and Hurley announced their engagement and pregnancy via Facebook in late March.
A photo of Bauman in a wheelchair being pushed to safety after the bombing with Carlos Arrendondo, Devin Wang and Paul Mitchell by his side, became an iconic image of that tragic day.

On April 14, 2014, a year after the bombing, Bauman wrote a piece in The Guardian about the photo and its impact.
