Deer Commits Traffic Violations, Norwood Police Officer Files Report
Police officers file reports about reckless drivers all the time, so why not spice them up once in awhile?
One Norwood police officer did just that when he filed a report Sunday, May 25, about a deer committing numerous traffic violations.
The deer apparently veered over the double yellow lines, into the lane of approaching traffic. When the officer motioned for the offender to pull over, “the violator abruptly turned left, (without signaling) and fled up Berwick Place.’’
According to the report, the officer decided not to pursue in the interest of safety.
The report concludes with, “I radioed a description and direction of travel last seen.’’
The deer could not be reached for comment.
