Aaron Hernandez Indicted for Jailhouse Assault
Former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez faces a new set of criminal charges related to a fight in a Bristol County jail, according to 7 News Boston.
According to 7 News, the new charges include making threats to do bodily harm and assault and battery. In February, Hernandez got into a fight with another inmate at the Bristol County House of Correction and Jail. Neither Hernandez or the other inmate was injured, according to a February statement by the sheriff’s department.
Hernandez is in jail awaiting trial for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.
Investigators believe Hernandez may have been involved in a 2012 South End shooting as well. No charges have been filed in that case.
