Chestnut Hill Wegmans Opens

Wegmans, the supermarket chain with dedicated fans, opened its new 80,000 square-foot store in Chestnut Hill Sunday morning.

on Route 9 warned of impending traffic delays. The store is located across from the Chestnut Hill mall.

Since opening its doors at 7 a.m., crowds have been large, with lines to get in often stretching out into the parking lot.

As of 10:25 a.m. Sunday, a shopper reported the store was still crowded, but there was no longer a line to get inside.
