2 Mass. women sue companies over ‘slimming’ underwear claim
Two Massachusetts women are taking two undergarment makers to court, saying the companies misrepresented the slimming power of their products, according to the Boston Business Journal.
The suit says companies Maidenform Brands and Wacoal America used a Spanish-made fabric whose manufacturer claims is infused with minerals and nutrients to help reshape the wearer’s body, according to the BBJ.

The women claim they paid up to a 50 percent premium for the slimming underwear, according to the Journal.
