Truck hits man, 25, on bicycle in Back Bay
A truck hit a bicyclist in the Back Bay Thursday afternoon, police said. Boston police responded to the scene, near Beacon Street and Massachusetts Avenue, at 1:42 p.m., said spokesman David Estrada. As a white van was driving down Beacon Street toward Massachusetts Avenue, a black car reportedly ran a red light and struck the van, which then hit a man riding a bicycle, police said. Nick Martin, spokesman for Boston Emergency Medical Services, said the unidentified victim suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. The 25-year-old victim was conscious after the accident, but complained of shoulder pain, Estrada said.
