Teenager is stabbed in fight in Dorchester
Police and emergency medical workers responded to a stabbing in Dorchester Friday morning, police said. Two men had a disagreement that allegedly escalated into a fight, said police spokesman David Estrada. During the fight on Stanwood Street, 28-year-old Kelechi Oparah, of Dorchester allegedly stabbed the victim in the leg, police said. The unidentified victim, believed to be about 17, was taken to Boston Medical Center, a spokeswoman said. He sustained injuries not considered life-threatening, police said. Oparah is expected to be arraigned Monday in Roxbury District Court on a charge of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, Estrada said.
