Two shot near Ruggles MBTA Station in Roxbury
Two people were shot near the Ruggles MBTA station Friday night, Boston police said. At about 8:50 p.m., police responded to a report of a person shot in the area of Tremont and Ruggles streets in Roxbury, said spokesman David Estrada. A Northeastern University police advisory reported one young male victim, but Boston police did not immediately release any information on the identities of the victims. One victim was shot in the leg and was taken to Boston Medical Center; the other was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital with an unspecified bullet wound, police said. Both received injuries not considered life-threatening, police said. One suspect was in custody, according to the Northeastern advisory.
