Two suspects arrested in string of armed robberies
Massachusetts and Rhode Island State Police have arrested two suspects believed responsible for more than 15 armed robberies in the two states. Monchi Castillo-Cosme, 23, and a 16-year-old male accomplice, both of Springfield, face multiple charges for the alleged robberies of gas stations and convenience stores, Massachusetts State Police said in a statement. Castillo-Cosme was arrested Jan. 4 in Rhode Island after a car chase. He is being held without bail after his arraignment there. The teenager was arrested at a Springfield school Friday morning. He is being held on $500,000 bail and faces rendition to Rhode Island.
