Allston man arrested in laptop thefts at BU
A 24-year-old Allston man was arrested in a series of laptop thefts from a library and student center at Boston University, campus officials said. Jesse Ritson of Allston was arrested Wednesday on charges that he stole two laptops from Mugar Memorial Library, according to the university’s news website, BU Today. Ritson is not formally charged with additional crimes, but police told BU Today that they are continuing to investigate and believe he is responsible for the theft of five other laptops that have been reported stolen from the library and the George Sherman Union since early October. Ritson was scheduled to be arraigned on two counts of larceny Thursday in Roxbury District Court.
