Two men shot during Springfield drug deal
Two men who ran into a Springfield Dunkin’ Donuts store suffering from gunshot wounds were victims of a botched drug deal, police said. The two 19-year-old men ran into the coffee shop in the city’s Forest Park neighborhood at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. One victim was shot in the upper left arm, and the other was shot in the left thigh. Both were taken to Baystate Medical Center and were expected to survive. The men were sitting in a car when they were approached by two other men and shot. Police said they admitted they were involved in a drug deal. No names were released, and there was no information about arrests.
