Two children hurt in school bus hit-and-run in Roxbury
Two Boston children, age 11 and 13, were hospitalized with minor injuries Wednesday evening after an unlicensed driver hit the school bus they were in and then fled, authorities said. A gray Nissan struck the back of the bus while it was stopped at a light on Columbus Avenue in Roxbury, just after 5, said Officer Nicole Grant of the Boston police. The driver then allegedly swerved over the median and onto Washington Street and was seen striking two parked cars before he fled on foot, Grant said. The suspect, who was not named, turned himself in to police in Jamaica Plain at 8:30 p.m., Grant said.
