Suspect, slain woman’s car found in Vermont
A man from North Adams, Mass., suspected of driving the car of an elderly woman found slain in her home has been arrested in Vermont and is expected to be extradited to Massachusetts within seven days. David A. Delratez, 41, appeared in court in Bennington Friday on a fugitive from justice charge. A police affidavit says he is wanted on a probation violation in Massachusetts for a prior assault. A car registered to Ellen DePaoli, 84, was found Thursday in Bennington. DePaoli was found dead in her home on Tuesday. An autopsy determined that her death was a homicide.
