Nine hurt in four-vehicle crash in Cape Cod town of Eastham
Nine people were injured in a four-vehicle crash on Route 6 in Eastham Tuesday evening, authorities said. Police did not immediately release details of the crash, but Captain Lisa Albino of the Eastham Fire Department said it involved a US Postal Service truck, a minivan, and two other passenger vehicles. The nine victims were taken to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening, including fractured bones and back pain, Albino said. The crash occurred at 6:40 p.m. near McKoy Road, she said. Eastham police were investigating the cause of the accident. A Postal Service spokeswoman said she was unaware of the crash.
