Missing Maine child found with woman in Stoneham
A missing Maine child and her grandmother, who is believed to have taken her, were found Thursday night in Stoneham, say Massachusetts State Police. Troopers and Stoneham police located Melanie Ester Wever, 48, of Wilkinson, Ind., and the 18-month-old child at 7:20 p.m. in the 2012 Dodge van that was wanted in connection with the child’s kidnapping in Cumberland County, Maine, State Police said. The van was found at a gas station at the intersection of Route 28 and South Street in Stoneham. Wever is being held overnight and will be arraigned Friday in Woburn District Court.
