Community session on climate change
The League of Women Voters of Lexington is organizing its second annual community conversation, with the session exploring how residents can make a difference in climate change. The event will be held Feb. 26 at 6:45 p.m. in Keilty Hall at St. Brigid’s Church, 2001 Massachusetts Ave. Residents, town staff, and local business owners are invited to discuss climate change, the challenges posed by extreme weather conditions, and how other towns are preparing for potential problems. The goal of the conversation is to produce a realistic set of steps, such as proposed zoning or bylaw changes, education programs and capital projects, that could help the town better prepare for climate change.
