Tour de Somerville slated for Oct. 13
The 20th annual Tour de Somerville is slated for Saturday,
when cyclists plan to pedal around the city limits. Themed as “Edge of the City,’’ riders will come as close as possible to the Somerville border in a 15-mile counterclockwise loop. Riders will see the industrial grit of Boynton Yards, the up-and-coming Assembly Row development, the leafy Tufts University campus, and the parklands of the Mystic River and Alewife Brook. Riders should meet at 10 a.m. at Seven Hills Park near Davis Square before departing promptly at 10:15 a.m., organizers said. In case of rain, the ride will be postponed a day to Sunday, Oct. 14.
