Selectmen reject exploratory Route 130 grant

The Board of Selectmen has rejected a grant to explore turning Route 130 into a mixed-use district. The classification would have allowed certain small businesses to locate on the road. The town’s volunteer mixed-use committee had been awarded a $21,000 community planning grant from New Hampshire Housing. The money would have enabled the committee to hire a part-time planner to help write a draft of a mixed-use ordinance.
