Nomination Letters – Horace Mann School for the Deaf
Barbara Moran
A poem, I thought, write I can
For my nurse is named Barbara Moran.
A great nurse, loved and admired so,
Barbara’s a nurse at my school.
Staff and students all think she is cool.
Whether head lice or vomit or worse
Or teen girls getting meds for “the curse’’
She helps all of us. She is a jewel.
Coughs and colds, runny noses, skinned knees
Even, rarely, a case of scabies.
Barbara is here; her knowledge is clear.
She heals us and gives out TLC.
Her compassion, well, it knows no bounds.
Her clinical skills, they astound.
In crisis her skills we do seek…
No matter, emergency, or just loose teeth.
We know she’s the best nurse around.
Barbara’s horn I will toot…
She deserves a salute!
