This nurse is extra special to me because she also happens to be my mother. Elise raised two kids on her own (nothing is better for chronic ear infections than having a nurse for a mother), but she still had time to go above and beyond for her patients. We are still in touch with families who continue to be grateful for her care of their loved ones. Recently, medical issues have forced my mother to become a patient herself, but she still works every day to care for those around her.
