Boston’s ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ walkers were a vision in pink

Thousands took to the streets in the fight against breast cancer Sunday.

More than 25,000 people — many clad in pink, naturally — took to the streets of Boston Sunday to take part in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. And it seems as if almost as many documented their efforts on social media.

The walk raised about $1.7 million in the fight against breast cancer — shy of last year’s $2 million, according to The Boston Globe, although a spokesperson for the American Cancer Society told the Globe the organization will be accepting additional donations until the end of the year.

Here’s a small sampling of the Twitter and Instagram posts shared by the walkers on Sunday.
