Watch: Singer performed for Children’s Hospital patients before sold-out Garden shows

Gracie Abrams performed at a surprise concert for patients at Boston Children’s Hospital on Wednesday before two sold-out TD Garden shows. 

GRACIE IN BOSTON:

Boston Children’s Hospital wrote in a Tik Tok, “Visiting patients across the hospital and singing in our Seacrest Studio, Gracie brought the warmest hugs and joy to patients, siblings, parents and staff.”

A “human ray of sunshine,” the Grammy-nominated artist wore a RedSox hat and sang her 2024 song “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” while playing the acoustic guitar, as shown in the Tik Tok. 

“We’ll remember this day forever,” the hospital wrote on Tik Tok.

Though she was born and raised in Los Angeles — the daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and former political aide Katie McGrath — Abrams has said she’s felt a kinship with New England since childhood. She said her family would often travel to Boston and then drive up to Maine where relatives on her mother’s side live.

“Not only has Boston been a super important place in my life, just growing up and family and everything, but also some of my favorite shows that we’ve ever played have been here,” she told the crowd at MGM Music Hall last fall.

The singer-songwriter performed “Everywhere, Everything” with Noah Kahan as a special guest at one of his sold-out Fenway Park shows last July. Their performance also made the cut for his “Live from Fenway Park” album.
