Pop singer Gracie Abrams performed a song with folkie superstar Noah Kahan at her Thursday night show at TD Garden, as shown on videos surfacing on social media.
Kahan, clad in a Bruins jersey, surprised the audience after the show’s main set, playing Abrams’ guitar on stage before she re-entered for the encore. The two performed “Everything, Everywhere,” a duet first released on Kahan’s 2023 “Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever)” album.
From the side of the stage, Kahan, a Vermont native, wrote in his Instagram Story, “Loudest crowd ever. best show ever. Welcome back to New England to my buddy.”
A Los Angeles native, Abrams, daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and former political aide Katie McGrath, spent a lot of her childhood in Boston and visiting her mother’s family in Maine.
“Being here with all of you feels like being home,” Abrams said at her October show at MGM Music Hall. “New England is home.”
Both Grammy-nominated artists performed “Everything, Everywhere” at one of Kahan’s sold-out Fenway shows last summer, a performance that made it onto the “Live From Fenway Park” album.
Abrams said at that MGM Music Hall show that she considers the Fenway performance “one of the greatest moments of my life,” adding that she feels that Kahan is “the beating heart of New England.”
