Fourth-grader brought marijuana to school, Providence police say
A fourth-grader brought a small amount of marijuana to school and showed it to friends, Providence police said. WPRI-TV reported that the boy brought a tiny amount of marijuana to the Veazie Street School Tuesday. Fellow students told a teacher, and she asked him to empty his pockets. The marijuana was wrapped in plastic. The television station reported that the boy told police he ‘‘found the weed on his bed.’’ No one has been arrested, and the School Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
