Student with bullets prompts Conn. school lockdown
A school in East Hartford was locked down for an hour after officials discovered that a student was carrying bullets. Police were called to the Woodland School Friday morning and searched the school. Officials said that the student had several bullets for a handgun, but that no gun was found. Officials put the school in lockdown shortly before 8 a.m. as a precaution under security procedures. The lockdown was lifted shortly before 9 a.m. Principal Helene Marchese sent a message to parents saying all students were safe and had never been in danger. Marchese and police did not say whether the boy was disciplined or arrested.
