Couple in Vt. teacher killing get new lawyers
A couple charged in the killing of a St. Johnsbury teacher have been assigned new lawyers. Robert L. Sussman had been assigned to represent Patricia Prue after her former lawyer told the judge he had a conflict of interest in the case. But Sussman also discovered that he had a conflict with one of the people on the witness list. Now Brian Marsicovetere has been assigned to represent Patricia Prue. The Caledonian Record reported that Allen Prue also has a new lawyer after his lawyer withdrew because of a conflict. Robert Katims has been assigned to represent him. The Prues, of Waterford, are charged with abducting and killing Melissa Jenkins in March 2012.
