Three people were arrested after an armed robbery in Dorchester in which victims were attacked with a firearm, a rock, and bear spray, police said.
Shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, officers in Dorchester responded to a report of an armed robbery at 7 Topliff St., according to a statement from the Boston Police Department. Officers learned that multiple victims had been assaulted.
Investigators said the victims were sprayed with bear spray and struck with a rock during the incident. One victim was also hit in the head with a firearm, police said.
The following day at 4:24 p.m., detectives executed a search warrant and investigated the property, police said.
During the search, police say they recovered a Sabre Frontiersman bear and mountain lion deterrent spray, a Glock 45 handgun with one round in the chamber and 18 rounds in an extended magazine, and a Ruger LC9 handgun with one round in the chamber and seven rounds in the magazine, according to the statement. The Glock was equipped with both a flashlight and a laser.
Authorities said the suspects were believed to be inside one of the apartments during the investigation. Officers established a perimeter and conducted a protective sweep of the building before focusing on a specific unit, where the suspects were located. The residence was secured while detectives obtained a search warrant.
Three suspects were taken into custody and are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
Sebastian Fecu, 23, of Dorchester, is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
