An armed suspect broke into a Beverly home on Saturday morning, tied up the residence’s sole occupant, and stole several items, including a vehicle, local police said in a statement.
Police were alerted to the incident on Paine Avenue at 8:50 a.m. after a neighbor called 911. The suspect left the scene in the stolen vehicle, which was later located, police said.
The victim was taken to Beverly Hospital with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening and was later released.
The break-in remains under investigation by local police and State Police.
