16-year-old arrested in Allston shooting

Another juvenile was injured in the shooting last Thursday on Brighton Avenue.

A 16-year-old is facing a slew of charges related to a shooting last Thursday in Allston that injured another juvenile.

The teen boy turned himself in after a warrant for his arrest was issued out of Suffolk County Juvenile Court, according to Boston police. He’s facing the following charges:

  • Assault with intent to murder
  • Carrying a loaded firearm without a license
  • Assault and battery attempt with a firearm
  • Possession of ammunition without an FID card
  • Discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building
  • Firearm use in a felony
  • Carrying a firearm without a license

The shooting occurred near 222 Brighton Ave. at about 6:45 p.m. Thursday. The juvenile victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.
