Police arrested three Massachusetts suspects tied to an early morning robbery at Bally’s Twin River casino after two women allegedly lured a man to a hotel room, where a third suspect threatened him with a knife and stole more than $1,500, authorities said.
Lincoln police, in a statement, said officers responded to a reported robbery at 1:43 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29. Investigators determined that Naushka Machuca, 19, of Marlborough, and Tashawana Tuckta. 19, of Boston approached the victim on the casino floor and enticed him to a private hotel room.
Inside, Dominyck Sims, 28, of Worcester, confronted him with a knife and took the cash.
The victim told police the suspects let him leave afterward, but ordered him not to contact authorities.
Lincoln Police officers apprehended all three suspects.
Prosecutors are charging Sims with first-degree robbery, conspiracy, disorderly conduct, and using weapons other than firearms. Prosecutors are charging Machuca and Tuckta with first-degree robbery and conspiracy.
“The Lincoln Police Department encourages the public to remain vigilant and exercise caution when interacting with unfamiliar individuals,” the Lincoln Police Department statement read. “We remain committed to protecting the safety of our residents and visitors alike.”
