A Westborough man was convicted on Tuesday for the murder of his mother.
Following an 11-day trial, a jury found Daniel Uhlman, 55, guilty of first-degree murder and armed assault to murder a person over 60, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office.
On June 1, 2023, Uhlman walked into the lobby of a hotel on Lakeside Avenue in Marlborough and told the staff to call the police since he’d just killed his mother, prosecutors said.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the victim in the parking lot with significant trauma. Nancy Uhlman, 82, also of Westborough, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Investigators determined that Daniel Uhlman planned to meet his mother in the hotel parking lot and kill her. “The defendant pulled the victim from her truck, beat her, tried to stab her and struck her with the truck,” the DA’s office said.
Uhlman is set to be sentenced in Middlesex Superior Court on Dec. 22.
