A New Hampshire mother was charged on Monday after her 6-year-old ingested a THC gummy and tested positive for cannabinoids and cocaine.
On Nov. 3, Nashua police received a report from the Division of Child, Youth, and Families that a 6-year-old girl had ingested a THC gummy and was taken to the hospital, where she tested positive for the two illegal drugs.
During the investigation, police discovered the child’s mother, Paige Goulet, 30, of Nashua, told a witness not to cooperate with the police investigation, police say.
Police determined that Goulet neglected her duty to care for her child.
Meredith police arrested Goulet and charged her with tampering with witnesses and endangering the welfare of a child or incompetent, police say.
Goulet was released on $300 cash bail and is set to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Jan. 7, police say.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Nashua Police at 603-589-1665.
