A 38-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday after a victim flagged down police in Dorchester and told them he was struck in the head with a glass bottle and put in a headlock during a robbery.
Elena O’Brien, of Dorchester, is facing the following charges: armed robbery with a glass bottle, receiving stolen property over $1,200, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (glass bottle), and strangulation or suffocation, according to Boston police. She also had a warrant for burglary, trespassing, and misdemeanor breaking and entering.
The incident happened at about 6:25 p.m., and O’Brien was located near Columbia Road and Boston Street. Officers were unable to locate a second suspect.
