A man was shot and killed in East Boston on Tuesday evening.
Around 5:50 p.m., police responded to a radio call reporting a person shot near 27 Havre St.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a man who had sustained a gunshot wound.
The man, whose name has not yet been released, was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, police say.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the incident should contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
