Registered sex offender facing charges after stolen firearm, Nazi materials allegedly found in his possession

The 30-year-old Dracut man is also being investigated for allegedly paying for child sexual abuse materials.

A registered sex offender from Dracut has been charged for allegedly illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition, which were found amongst Nazi materials, federal authorities said.

In 2016, Tyler Bullock, 30, was convicted of purchasing or possessing child pornography, according to the Massachusetts U.S. Attorney’s Office. That offense landed Bullock on the sex offender registry and prohibited him from possessing firearms and ammunition, officials said.

During a recent search of Bullock’s residence, law enforcement found a Ruger P85 9mm pistol, which was reported stolen during transit from New Hampshire to Arizona, loaded with several rounds of ammunition, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Law enforcement officials also allegedly found a knife bearing Schutztaffel lightning bolts, a symbol of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi paramilitary, and a swastika in a small safe under a rug in a bedroom. A copy of “Mein Kampf” by Hitler and 42 additional rounds of ammunition were also found in that bedroom, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

“Additionally, according to the charging documents, a partially assembled rifle was located in an upstairs bedroom along with numerous WWII-era German military medals, patches and memorabilia containing Nazi symbolism,” authorities said.

During the search, Bullock allegedly admitted to soliciting and paying for child sexual abuse materials. He allegedly sent money to a network based in India for the materials on several occasions. A forensic review of his devices is ongoing, officials said.

Bullock was arrested on Nov. 6 and is charged with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. He is currently detained following an initial appearance in Boston federal court.

Bullock is set to reappear in court for a detention hearing on Wednesday, according to court documents.
