Person shot on Beacon Hill, hospitalized with life-threatening injuries

The shooting victim has not yet been identified but was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries Friday, police said.

A person has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after they were shot Friday morning on Beacon Hill, according to Boston police.

Officers responded at about 9:15 a.m. to a report of a person shot at 39 Bowdoin St., where they found a victim suffering a gunshot wound, police said. The victim, who has not yet been publicly identified, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Homicide detectives from the Boston Police Department responded to the scene, but no arrests have been made as of Sunday morning, according to police. Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.
