Shoplifters struck Lululemon in Boston twice on Sunday, the fourth time in just over a month.
Boston police received a report of a larceny incident in progress at 776 Boylston St. around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Police were told a group of 15 kids entered the store and stole merchandise in groups of three to four, police say.
An employee told some of the suspects that the police were called, prompting two suspects to return the stolen items and leave the store, police say.
The suspects fled on foot on Boylston Street towards the Boston Public Library, police say. Four of the suspects were described as each wearing a red jacket, black jacket, grey jeans with a backpack, and a shiny jacket with white shoes, police say.
The suspects stole six Wunder Puff Jackets, worth $348 each, as well as other merchandise with a total estimated value of $4,000, police say.
At 5:38 p.m., a Black male also items from the Prudential Center store, police say. The suspect was approximately 18 to 25-years-old, wearing white rimmed glasses, a black beanie, and a black sweat set, police say.
The manager was unaware of the shoplifting incident because the store was busy, but estimated the value of the stolen merchandise — four hoodies, one pair of socks, and one pair of leggings — was $634, according to police.
The suspect was then seen at the Lululemon on Newbury Street where an officer attempted to stop him, according to police. The suspect did not steal merchandise from the second location, police say.
Following a struggle with the officer, the suspect was able to flee the scene and the officer suffered a small laceration to his face, police say. Police recovered the suspect’s phone, hoodie, and glasses as a result of the struggle.
No arrests have been made in relation to Sunday’s incidents, police say.
On Sept. 28, two suspects stole $700 worth of merchandise from the Prudential Center store.
On Oct. 13, four suspects stole $6,600 worth of merchandise from the Newbury Street Lululemon.
The investigations into all four incidents remain ongoing by Boston police.
Anyone with information about the incidents or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact the police at 617-343-5619.
