Quincy man arrested in Lansdowne sucker-punch assault

The 22-year-old victim has several months of recovery ahead, as he heals from a brain bleed, his family told Boston.com earlier this month.

Boston police arrested a suspect Tuesday in a connection to an alleged assault on Lansdowne Street last month, which reportedly left the victim with a brain bleed.

Brandon Wilson, 27, of Quincy was wanted on a warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court for aggravated assault at the time of his arrest, police said.

The charge stems from an incident just after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, in which the suspect allegedly sucker punched a stranger before fleeing down Lansdowne toward Brookline Avenue.

Jack Farrell, 22, has several months of recovery ahead, his family told Boston.com earlier this month.

Doctors had to remove a piece of his skull and will need to replace it after he recovers from the brain bleed, the victim’s family said.

Farrell “will be out of work long-term, which is very frustrating for him because he’s 22 and thought he’d bounce back, but that’s not the case,” his mother, Mona Saltalamacchia, told Boston.com.

Wilson pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Roxbury District Court on Tuesday and was released on personal recognizance.
