A 73-year-old man was charged Tuesday following the shooting deaths of his sister-in-law and her daughter in Bath, New Hampshire.
Local police responded to a report of shots fired at 11 Tyler Way around 1:15 p.m Tuesday, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.
There, officers found two deceased females, later identified as Cindy Moody, 67, and her daughter, Kristal Moody, 39, who appeared to have gunshot wounds.
Cindy Moody’s brother-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Readey, was found with a firearm at the home, authorities said.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder for allegedly knowingly causing the deaths of the women, according to the AG’s office.
Autopsies on Cindy and Kristal Moody were scheduled for Wednesday.
Readey’s court date had not yet been set.
